“It is possible to fly without motors, but not without knowledge or skill”

Ground School 101

Why?

Ground school provides comprehensive instruction on all essential knowledge required to ensure safety and situational awareness while operating an aircraft. Successful flight operations begin with thorough planning, which will be a key focus of evaluation during your checkride.

What?

Every student pilot undergoes evaluation to assess their understanding of aviation principles, applicable regulations, and their proficiency in piloting an aircraft. This course provides comprehensive instruction covering all essential knowledge and skills required for successful pilot training.

The Future

Recognizing the significance of ground school constitutes only part of the challenge; the remainder involves selecting the institution that best aligns with your individual needs and learning preferences. Establishing a strong foundation in ground school principles is essential for building a successful career in aviation.

How it works

Our Private Pilot Ground School package comprises 24 hours of comprehensive instruction designed to equip you with foundational aviation knowledge prior to flight training. The curriculum covers essential topics including Principles of Flight, Aircraft Performance, the National Airspace System, Aviation Weather, and Navigation & Flight Planning.

Classes are conducted via Zoom, scheduled as 2-hour sessions, three times per week, over a four-week period, totaling 24 hours of ground instruction. Each session accommodates up to 10 students with one instructor to ensure focused and effective learning.

What makes us unique?

For student pilots, we recognize that one of the most critical decisions in beginning your aviation career is selecting the flight school that best aligns with your individual needs. At AeroPath, we are committed to providing an educational experience designed to maximize your potential for success. Our approach includes the following key elements:

  • Flight training can be intimidating and full of new information that may be hard to understand. By having a live instructor teach you the basics of what you need to know before walking into a cockpit will give you the necessary confidence and knowledge to remain safe as well as successful for your flying endeavors.

  • Learning with others can help promote camaraderie as well as social networking. Other classmates may have different questions and points of view that can assist you in your own learning.

  • Ground school, while essential, does not need to take up much of your precious time that could be applied to gain more flight time. This is why we have condensed the essentials of what you need to know into 24 hours!
